Mission Statement
The Educational Leadership programs at Columbus State University strive to prepare leaders, who through their training, have the knowledge and experience necessary to be effective contributors to Education, as well as other business and many community associations. Faculty members, with years of exceptional practice, research and training, are contributing members of professional leadership organizations and provide direct training and supervision to students. The faculty’s primary objective is to serve the students within the various programs and prepare them to be effective leaders in a variety of settings and to achieve their professional goals. Through a variety of learning experiences, including coursework, lectures, experiential activities and direct leading experiences through internships with supervision, students meet or exceed these goals. The program serves a diverse student population of which the leadership faculty works closely with students to provide the tools necessary tools to construct a successful leadership identity.
